Rogue Point A1M Marksman Rifle Guide

The A1M is Rogue Point 1.0’s semi-automatic marksman rifle: a lane specialist that shines when the squad already solved doors and needs someone to delete distant rifles and Lookout-adjacent pressure.

Role fit

Give A1M to the long-lane seat. Entry should be on a close gun — often an automatic or Mule. Mid flex can sit on KT50. Without that triangle, A1M becomes a liability when Berserkers close distance. See Loadouts and MERX Classes.

Strengths

  • Punishes distant peeks on Airport and Oil Rig walkways
  • Semi-auto control can stay ammo-honest into extract
  • Pairs well with smoke crossings when the lane seat calls moves

Weaknesses

  • Clinic’s tight corridors can make A1M feel overcommitted — see Clinic
  • Solo and uncoordinated lobbies will die holding angles while doors collapse
  • Expensive vanity purchases before armor remain campaign suicide

Economy rules

Buy A1M when the map rotation and campaign phase actually need a lane answer. Fund armor, medkits, and smoke first. Cosmetics wait — Cosmetics. Compare practical ranks on Tier List.

Boss and HVT notes

Against Oil Rig boss and 5-Star Merc, A1M can contribute if the shooter has clean sightlines and AP support — but someone must own adds and revive space. Marksman tunnel vision is a wipe pattern.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Rogue Point operators.

Is the A1M a sniper replacement?

It is a semi-automatic marksman rifle for lane pressure. It still needs a teammate covering close rushers.

Should solo players main A1M?

Usually no. Solo operators need forgiving automatics more than specialty lane guns.

When does A1M earn its slot?

When Airport, Oil Rig exteriors, or long Office sightlines are the night’s fail state and entry is already covered.
